Is your compressed air system out of order?
We share with you the 5 good things to do in case of a breakdown on your industrial compressor.
At first glance, it may seem simple, but this incident happens more often than you think.
Three factors can cause it:
- One person physically stopped the compressor
- Non-configuration of the compressor's internal clock
- The machine has been remotely switched off
To remedy the first factor, nothing could be simpler, just turn the machine back on.
It is necessary to check that the internal clock is correctly programmed, to solve the problem resulting from the second factor.
Please note that some clocks need to be reprogrammed manually when the time changes.
Regarding the third factor, all you have to do is check whether the machine has been turned off on site or remotely.
First and foremost, if you see an oil stain, your compressor may be leaking. Check the oil level.
If it is not correct, there is only one solution, call the hotline. Finally, feel free to stay close to the machine when you make the call. You are the best person to detect where the leak might be coming from.
Once the diagnosis is established, a technician will come to your premises to help you.
Sometimes the valves have been inadvertently closed. In this case, your compressor may overpressure. To proceed with the verification, you just have to follow your network to observe an anomaly. This can result in a closed valve, or a By-Pass that has been left open
By detecting this complication in advance, you help our hotline to better diagnose your problem and thus offer you a more appropriate solution.
An electric meter that breaks and a whole production line stops. Without electricity, the compressor stops automatically.
In this case, a fault message will be displayed on your compressor when the power returns. Simply acknowledge the fault and restart your machine.
If it doesn't start again, don't hesitate to call us.
Your compressor doesn't start in the morning? There is a good chance that this is due to the frost protection which prohibits starting below 3°C. When temperatures get too low, your compressor automatically shuts off. Don't hesitate to call us so that our teams can give you the steps to follow to get your compressor running again.
Conversely, if the temperature is too high, the compressor may go into over temperature. It turns off to prevent overheating.
For information, the ideal temperature of the compressor room should be maintained between 20° and 35°. The maximum temperature expected in a compressor room should not exceed 45° C
Beware that these temperatures can quickly be reached in summer if the room is not well insulated and ventilated.
As a reminder, you are not allowed to enter the machine's parameters, nor to open the compressor. If you notice a malfunction, there is only one solution: Contact the technical hotline.
