The refrigeration dryer is considered as a standard equipment. This range is the most economical way to dry compressed air. The principle is to reduce the temperature of the compressed air.
Refrigerated air dryers can provide a dew point of 3 to 5°C (37 to 41°F), which is sufficient for most applications.
The process of refrigeration drying consists of cooling the compressed air. The objective is to allow a large part of the water present in the system to condense and thus be separated.
After the cooling and condensation stage the compressed air is heated to room temperature so that no condensation forms on the outside of the pipe.
The non-cyclic refrigeration dryer continuously activates the refrigeration compressor and uses a hot gas bypass valve to redirect the refrigerant even in partial load conditions.
For non-cyclic refrigeration dryers, the temperature of the compressed air is lowered to 37°F (3°C), allowing water to evaporate and resulting in dry air that is beneficial for most applications.
In contrast to non-cyclic refrigeration dryers, cyclic dryers use additional equipment (thermal mass and/or variable frequency drive).
This equipment allows you to switch on and off depending on the demand for compressed air you wish to use and therefore be much more energy efficient. The initial cost of this type of dryer is slightly higher than a non-cyclic option, however it provides the most economical solution over the long term and throughout the life cycle
All water in the compressed air is recovered by a water separator. As for the air, it is redistributed in the network.
Thanks to a heat exchanger system, the air is heated at the dryer outlet, thus avoiding condensation.
This type of compressor can reach a dew point of up to 20°C
The compressed air refrigeration dryer DRYPOINT RA HT has been specially developed for applications where compressed air with high inlet temperatures up to 80 °C has to be dried efficiently.
